On December 10, BRMi President Mike Battle and senior consultant and automation expert Jacqueline Chen will be engaging with students during the Day of Tech at Frederick High School in Frederick, MD. The technology community engagement group techfrederick has established a diversity task force focused on encouraging participation in technology in the Frederick area and making the area more attractive to technology companies and professionals. The task force, in collaboration with Frederick City Public Schools, has put together a Day of Tech program focused on helping minority students through exposure to the “art of the possible” with careers in technology.
This year’s Day of Tech will involve interactive sessions with students in the areas of software development, visual analytics, process automation, cybersecurity and “white hat” hacking, and strategic thinking and project management. Mr. Battle and Ms. Chen will be working with students in visual analytics and increasing their awareness of the enormous opportunities that roles in technology represent.
