On August 16, BRMi received confirmation that its appraisal was approved at level 3 in both the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) for Development (CMMI-DEV) model and the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) model. The appraisal was performed by Excellence in Measurement Technology.

CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates our organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, we have demonstrated that our processes are well characterized and understood and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. BRMi’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improves over time.

“The achievement of maturity level 3 in CMMI Development and Services models is, to us, reflective of BRMi’s core values to provide high quality, measurable, and customer-driven services to our clients. We are committed to the continuous improvement of our organization to achieve mission success,” said BRMi Senior Vice President Anita Lynn, who is responsible for delivery operations, of the successful performance improvement effort.
