BRMi’s Suzanne Komara discussed the new American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council’s IT management maturity model with Federal News Network’s Jory Heckman on the August 1 podcast of Federal Drive with Tom Temin. Ms. Komara helped create a roadmap to guide agency implementation of the Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act, or FITARA, and improve their scores. She was the project lead and one of the model’s authors.
According to Ms. Komara, “The biggest [update] that will probably stand out to people is [that] cybersecurity was sort of woven throughout the five categories within the model. … We made a decision to remove that from being woven within and making it its own standalone category. And, that was really to just to highlight the importance of cybersecurity going on right now.”
