BRMi President Mike Battle has received James Madison University’s (JMU) 2022 Inez Graybeal Roop Alumni Service Award. This award, given on an annual basis, recognizes alumni who have performed notable service to the university and/or the alumni association. Notable JMU alumni have praised Battle as epitomizing the pay-it-forward spirit that the JMU community embodies.
This spirit is also at the heart of BRMi culture. We see big hearts and bright minds as foundational for real solutions and we look to pay our successes forward through company-organized opportunities for outreach and philanthropy.
Internships were one of the many opportunities provided by the university which gave Battle first-hand experience. “[Internships] guided me into getting more technology competencies,” says Battle. Battle also credits his mentors during his MBA pursuit with advancing his understanding of the business world. He says it was “the experience that launched into what I was going to do from a career standpoint.” He went on to work at IBM and eventually founded BRMi, a multi-award-winning company, among other achievements.
Battle’s involvement has also positively impacted JMU’s curriculum through BRMi’s official industry partnership with JMU’s X-Labs—BRMi’s experts are teaching students about robotic process automation and related technologies and are guiding them as they tackle real-world professional challenges.
Congratulations to Mike from the entire BRMi team!
